We are looking for a passionate and experienced Wilderness Instructor to lead and facilitate outdoor education programs, survival training, and adventure-based learning experiences in remote and natural environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outdoor leadership, wilderness survival, and environmental education, and will be capable of managing groups in challenging outdoor conditions while ensuring safety, engagement, and learning. As a Wilderness Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and executing multi-day expeditions, teaching essential survival skills such as navigation, shelter building, fire making, and first aid, and fostering personal growth and teamwork among participants. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including youth, adults, corporate teams, and school groups, tailoring each program to meet specific learning objectives and group dynamics. You must be physically fit, mentally resilient, and capable of making sound decisions under pressure. A deep respect for nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate others are essential. You will also be expected to maintain equipment, assess environmental risks, and adhere to all safety protocols and Leave No Trace principles. Requirements

  • Proven experience in outdoor leadership or wilderness instruction
  • Certification in Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder
  • Strong knowledge of survival skills and outdoor safety
  • Excellent communication and group facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in remote and physically demanding environments
  • CPR and first aid certification
  • Experience working with youth and diverse populations
  • Ability to manage risk and make decisions under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Bachelor’s degree in outdoor education, environmental science, or related field (preferred)
